Sketches made by my grandmother, converted to illustrator file. My grandmother was a better artist than I could ever hope to be.
"Anatomy of the hand and arm in drawing must begin...Lower arm is made up of 2 bones which be parallel to one another 1. The bone A ulna hooks on to bone of upper arm of elbow...Radii hooks on to hand at wrist...There are 4 sets of muscles in hand not counting thumb...Bulge appears when...(crazy bone) Electrone process goes between biceps and triceps to attach to humurus...Joint of arm...Draw arm like this rather than (L shape)...1.Supernation is a more powerful movement as pronation. (supination is used when one lifts an object). 2. Flexation is not as powerful a movement as extension. (extension is used in striking)...Ulna represented by shaded area in diagram remains the same in supination. Radius moves around...January 23"
